Really confused, need an expert advice!

Hey friends,

This is in continuation of my previous thread which is located here

I have cleared my PE2 in nov08 and my recruitment case for the post of article has been put on hold in a firm as the final approving authority is busy with some audit. But the deadline to register for CA final and articleship in order to be eligible for may 2011 exams in pretty close now (30th april)

i have another, much smaller, CA firm which is ready to recruit me ... so my query is :

1. Should i wait for the ,much bigger, Firm 1 to get selected in it and get my forms signed in back date and submit them in may to institute ... while doing this shall i be eligible to appear in the may 2011 CA final exams?

2. Or , should i register with the much smaller "firm 2" in the coming 2-3 days and submit my forms with the institute before 30th april.

3. Or, if i wait for Firm1 and i dont get selected in it ... should i get the forms 102,103 and CA final reg signed by firm 2 in back date and submit them in may ...

As u might make out iam really getting confused right now :( ... and the new transfer rule has made the situation a lil more complicated ... but one thing is for sure that i wanna appear for the may2011 CA final exam at any cost ... so any help will be really great!

KEEPING IN VIEW THE TOUGH REGULATIONS INITIATED BY THE NEW NOTIFICATION FROM ICAI, YOU SHOULD FIRST ASSESS FROM UR RECENT DAYS EXPERIENCE IN THE FIRM-1, WHETHER

(1) YOU CAN WORK CONSISTENTLY WITH THE GIVEN PRESSURE,

(2)REQD DAYS OF LEAVE ARE ALLOWED IN THE FIRM FOR YOUR FORTHCOMING FINAL EXAM.

IF YOU ARE ASSURED REGARDING ABOVE 2 POINTS, THEN YOU SHOULD WAIT N JOIN THE FIRM-1, OTHERWISE IT'LL BE A WISE DECISION TO JOIN FIRM-2, WHICH IN THE GIVEN CONDNS MAY HELP U IN ALL RESPECT.

^^ yep .. I guess working and studying wont be a problem ... Right now iam more concerned about the eligibilty for may 2011 exams ... So does that means that i can submit the form 103 n ca final registration form to the institute by getting them signed by my principal in backdate(30th april or before) till may? ... Or i have to submit it by 30th april in any case?

go for the small firm ..... its doesnt matter working in a big or small one....

its better u get registered ASAP jee !!

Better join the small one .... You can't really trust the big firms...

Also a big firm won't allow you time to study and consequently u may fail... PCC and Final are a different ball game as compared to CPT..... Its more important to clear the exams first and then go for exposure rather than finishing off with training and finding out that none of ur groups are clear... Its really frustrating...

^^ thanks for the input guys ... my first preference right now is to appear for may2011 exams ... and since form 103 can be submitted in 30 days of joining i guess that i can join a firm before 30th April and submit the form 103 in may (subj to 30 days from joining) ... for big and small firm .. well ... i guess the type of exposure a big firm can provide with its huge resources is beyond comparision ... but yes .. everything comes at a cost ... and sometimes its too much :( ... anyways ... so its final that i can submit form 103 in may after starting articleship before 30th april becoming eligible to appear in may 2011 exam ? and is there any other form to be submitted with the institute besides form 103 for registration of CA final and articleship ?
