we are about to purchase a flat which is yet to start construction. they demand grt along with advance amount and with subsequent payments. Is it right to collect tax before completing the service ?
Yes, GST is applicable over underconstruction property (as service provided by builder). It is collected along with each installment including the advance amount (whatever due as per agreement), at 12% of the amount of each payment.
