Hi, just to tell everyone that I have passed in CA final just today... yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! congrats to everyone!!!!!!!!! thanks & regards Kaustuv
Well, as usual, some are happy and some are disappointed. Congrats Kaustav!! Though the PE-I results are fairly good, the PE-II and Final Results are not at all satisfactory. Well, is this due to student's bad preparation or due to institute's tough evaluation is a contradictional point of discussion?? Many of my friends who prepared exceedingly well have failed in the Direct Taxes with only 32 Marks. I don't know the reason why?? Now I have my attempt in Nov 07, seeing these results I want to write at least one group (i.e. Group II) properly. Plz suggest me some books and method of preparation friends!!! I just want to pass this examn this time at any cost......Congrats once again to all the passed candidates.... Best Regards, Nanda Kumar K V Hyderabad

I congratulate everyone for passing.. and also I must thank all those beautiful members of caclubindia who selflessly shared with us notes, tips, guidance, suggestions- what not!! I sincerely owe it ...... @ Junaid- don't be tensed dear friend.. relax..practice as many compilations as possible for cpt exam.. you'll definitely come with flying colours.. @ Navneet- I personally went on self-study; but it really depends on you..what you want.. but i think in no case i think they are essential.. i got through in my very first attempt & I got 431.. My greetings to all CA Club Members and congratulations to all the newly qualified CAs out there...

First of all there is an unneccesary phobia about the DT paper in the Final examinations...it is neither as complicated nor as monstrous as it is hyped to be...

So in order to get through CA one needs to treat DT as just another subject and not THE subject or anything...

I am an MBA who cleared CA Final in my first and only attempt in May this time inspite of possessing NO PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE OF ANY TAX LAW IN INDIA (I still dont) and inspite of working full time in the corporate sector....I scored 40 in DT and i definitely knew i would get through it regardless of the fact that I studied at the last minute ( for 4 days in April)...

Hence SUPREME SELF CONFIDENCE AND SOME GREAT PRESENTATION SKILLS CAN WORK WONDERS FOR THOSE WHO ARE LOW ON THE KNOWLEDGE QUOTIENT SCALE....THATS THE ONLY TRICK OF THE TRADE THAT SO CALLED MANAGEMENT THINK TANKS HAVE GOT...

CAs are way ahead as far as technical expertise is concerned....If they team it up with some flawless writing skills then no professional can ever catch up with them...

Best Wishes

Moreover the results this time in May 2007 are not upto the standards set by Nov 2006 and May 2006... the pass percentage especially of both the groups together would be around 8-10% lower than Nov 2006.... First attempts both groups would be even lower...say less than 5% of all examinees... These are just guesswork statistics based on the number of results I viewed on the website... ICAI will come out with complete and accurate figures probably by next month or so...
