1. x+1 = 2e^n/(e^n + e^-n) 1-x = 2e^-n/(e^n + e^-n) so (1+x)/(1-x) = e^(2n) so ln((1+x)/(1-x)) = 2n implies n = 0.5ln((1+x)/(1-x))
