I want to ask that as per the amendments for AY- 2016-17 rate of surcharge has been increased to 7% and 12% for domestic companies. So I want to ask whether the surcharge applicable on DDT, IDT, tax on distributed income, IDT by securitization trust will also be increased to 12% or not?

Yes, you are right
Tax rates mentioned under respective section for DDT ,IDT etc shall be further increased by surcharge @ 12 % and education cess and s.h.e.c. @ 3%
