Adding an additional place of business to your GST registration is essential for accurate compliance. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it via the GST portal:
Log in to the GST Portal:
Visit the GST portal.
Log in using your GSTIN credentials.
Navigate to Service > Registration:
Click on the “Services” tab.
Select “Registration” and then choose “Amendment of Registration Core Fields”.
Edit Additional Place of Business:
Various tabs for editing will appear on the screen.
Click on the “Additional Place of Business” tab.
If your business has no additional place of business registered yet, go to the “Principal Place of Business” tab.
Under “Have Additional Place of Business,” select “Yes” to add a new place of business.
Enter the required details for the additional place of business.
You can also edit the existing address of any additional place of business.
Verification and Submission:
Click on the “Verification” option.
Select the verification checkbox.
Choose the authorized signatory from the drop-down list.
Enter the place and select the option for digitally signing the application (either DSC or EVC).
