The death of Dev Anand the film star from Mumbai films is the end of an era. There are very few actors who have had as checkered a career as Dev Anand. Even Hollywood stars will find it difficult to match the verve and genius of Deva Saheb, who arguably was the greatest star of the Hindi screen.
Dev anand was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, but I suppose there is a case for a Bharat Ratna for him. Last but not the least, Dev Anand will be remembered for ever with his 100 + films spread over 65 years. It is an era that can never be erased.
