(under MVAT)
I am about to file vat return for my Company and for the very first time the situation has arised that in Box no.7 of form 231 overall purchase is positive but tax free goods specified in schedule "A" is negative (box 7k).
Kindly tell me how can I show such negative purchases .
Their is no negative purchases u entered wrogly pl check

Here we are mentioning net effect of tax free purchases i.e. Purchases -purchase return we have taken in to consideration purhase return effected during the month and hence return pertaining to last months purchases are also reflacted here ,in that way our purchaes are falling short as returns are more.
kindly help me to solve my query regarding how to mention such amount.
can any one help me . is there any revised for the a part of output tax of a month is not shown. one year went of . please help me in this aspect. now what is the procedure to file a revised return on it under tnvat system.

Mr. Gargi,
In MH Form 231 Form the issue is there.
I have tried with your scenario in Form-231.xls Excel template provided by the department. in which negative Gross turnover is not considered.
Also if you are filing Form-231 excel template with Nil purchases during a return period is also not possible
i think its better to inform the department.
Please update me with regard to this issue if the same is resolved.
