Consider A being a developer, B being a contractor and C being a contractor to B. Here, C is a sub-contractor. Any amounts being paid to C by B will be made at the sub-contract rate. However, from 1st October, 2009 differentiation between contract and sub-contract has been eliminated. Refer the latest budget for the rates

w.e.f 01.10.09 same TDS rate for sontractor & sub-contarctor.
GSTR 9 and 9C for FY 23-24 as amended by Notification 12/2024 dated 10th July 2024(with recording)
