Depends on what kind of student you are.
If you are really bright, then u dont even need tutions. Complete self with inst. study material, then refer notes and scanners..
If you are average student, take tutions for all practical subjects and if your theory is week. take tutions for it too ...

Dear Surendra,
According to me, take a book which gives ur concept clear, and if u talk about the study material is tough to read & understand.
The matter of study material is , try to do the question from the this, but for concept clearty , check the simple text book from writer other than study material.
understanding the cpmcept is only important rather than books...

Hi Surendra
First of all i should appreciate you for acknowledging for each and every suggestion that you are getting from your seniors..its really a good one..
Regarding study material of grp1 ipcc subjects, even i was referring the theory part only from inst module and reg. practical problems i had earlier suggested u (if u hv remembered me). Anyway telling u once again for your quick reference (for practical problems):
Accounts - Hanif & Mukherjee and PC Tulsian (if u hv time)
Law ethics n communication - Inst module
Costing and FM - Tulsian
Taxation - Singhania
Reg. theory i once again telling you to stick to institute module first, if u hv still time and want to other contents then refer other books as advised by our seniors. After going our revised inst. modules, its really nicely and simply explained. One can learn the concepts easily paritcularly FM from module.
However, in addition to above, u MUST complete all suggested answer (to know way of presentation) and RTP, MTP being posted in icai website. Its worth to download from icai website from BoS Knowledge Portal link, there u can see 'Study Material' which was given in Q&A format for all subjects covering previous years papers also and way of presentation is good so start studying those also from now itself. This well help you in scoring good marks and do revisions if u hv time. All the best.

(coz..i am a accountant in a MBA institute named by IBA, Greater Noida) till completion to my IPCC group-1, but i wanted to know that what is wrong with material provided by the institute.. becoz in my opinion the institute's material is also good...but want to get the opinion of seniors becoz they have experience....

I dont know about other view reg. study material is not good. But to a significant extent as i personally gone through the grp1 study modules, i feel its really good and simple to understand and remember. Even i decided to stick only to inst. modules perfectly reg. theory part, if at all i hv time, then i may go for other books in last minute to look at concepts nt covered in module. But reg. law u need to check for the amendments applicable from google. Reg. tax anyway i suggested you to go for Singhania then no problem in that. In addition, for taxation, you must refer Notification and Supplementary study material being provided in icai website. Significant part of marks may come from amendments. Reg. accounting standards, in addition to content from module n problems from compilations, u refer the files posted in this website to update yourself with different kind of problems on AS and if u hv time refer to Final course ASs also (available to download in icai site) to know the way of presentation.

hi surendra
I would suggest you to read theory from study material and also from reference books. With regard to practical subject you may join classess or tution as you must solve more and more questions to get grip in practical subjects. I have cleared both group of ipcc in first attempt with 65%. However my case is different bcoz i appeared ipcc after completing graduation. one should read study material for all subjects eespecially for theory. Remember one thing papers are set by institute and not others.
