query regarding ITC

I m a trader. if I purchase goods from a registered dealer and I pay for transportation charge on that goods then can I claim ITC ON the freight charges ( transportation charge).…?

Yes, you can claim ITC on transportation charges paid

so do I need to give my gstn to transporter so that he can mention my gstn on the bilty?
