Query regarding IPCC

IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO FOR IPCC:-

1. YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE A BREAK FROM ATICLESHIP FROM 1ST. FEB 2009 FOR 9 MONTH AND THIS PERIOD WILL INCREASE THE COMPLETION OF YOUR ARTICLSHIP WHICH YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-START AFTER PASSING THE GROUP I OF IPCC.

2. TOTAL PERIOD OF TRAINING OF ARTICLSHIP WILL BE 3.5 YEARS WHICH INCLUDES THE PERIOD OF TRAINING COMPLETED  BY YOU BEFORE JOINING THE IPCC.

3. YOU CAN SIT IN YOUR FINAL EXAMINATION DURING YOUR LAST SIX MONTHS OF TRAINIG.

CALCULATE YOURSELF WITH ABOVEMENTIONED FORMULA AND IF YOU WANT EARLY DEGREE THEN YOU SHOULD CONTIUNE WITH PCC.

As per the new scheme, a CPT passed student can register for Integrated Professional Competence Course (name of
Professional Competence Course (PCC) under the new scheme is Integrated Professional Competence Course) without article registration
and can sit in new IPCC exam after 9 months of registration. The Integrated Professional Competence Course comprises of 2 groups.
Group I comprise of 4 papers namely:- Group II comprise of 3 papers namely:-
1. Accounting 1. Advanced Accounting
2. Business Laws, Ethics and Communication 2. Auditing and Assurance
3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 3. Information Technology and Strategic Management
4. Taxation
Only on passing group I of IPCC, a student shall be eligible to get registered for articles which shall now be for a period of 3
years as against existing requirement of 3 ½ years. Further, under the new scheme a student shall be eligible to sit in Final exam in last
six months of his articleship as against the existing condition to sit in Final examination only after completion of articles.
All such students getting registered for IPCC on or before 31st January, 2009 shall be eligible to sit in new IPCC examination
scheduled for November 2009 as they shall complete 9 months of study course, 100 hours of Information Technology Training and
Orientation Course by that time.
For the sake of recapitulation, I write below the salient features of the new scheme of education:-
 Pass CPT examination
 Register/Enroll for Integrated Professional Competence Course(IPCC)
 Complete 9 months of Study Course
 Complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT)
 Complete Orientation Course (35 hours spread over one week)
 Pass Group I or both Groups of Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE)
 Register as Articled Assistant for a period of 3 years
 Pass Group II of IPCC if not already passed
 Appear in Final Examination during last 6 months of 3 years of articled training
 Pass both the Groups of Final examination
 Get Final Examination Certificate
 Complete remaining period of articled training, if applicable
 Complete Course on General Management and Communication Skills
 Enroll as a member of ICAI and designate as “Chartered Accountant”

Q. 4 Whether any period of Articleship completed by a student
under PCC scheme of education, training and examination
will be counted under new scheme of IPCC?
Ans. Yes. The period of Articleship will remain 3 ½ years and the
period so served as an articled assistant under PCC scheme of
education, examination and training, will be reckoned for the purpose
of completing 3 ½ years of Articleship under IPCC.

Can you please clarify what is meant by " Complete 9 months of Study Course". Does it mean that one needs to be registered for 9 months for IPCC before appearing for the exam or does it mean that student will have to actually attend coaching for 9 months.

i have just passed my CPT in december and now registered for IPCC november i had confusion regarding my ITT exam that when it will be held.,.,.,.,as i don't receive any letter regarding that exam so plzz tel me when the exam will held??? and when to register for ITT

Sir, I am a student of CA Intermediate Stage (Previous) and I have completed my Articleship within proper time. After completion of articleship I have got the Articleship Completion certificate. After that I could not appear for Examination and In 2008 I have revalidate my registration. Sir, whether I will convert my course from Intermediate to IPCC? Is there any last date for conversion ? If you please give me the chance to convert, I will be evergrateful to you.

I want to know i have not yet cleared any of ipcc group in recent attempt...i am employed under a Chartered Accountant just as a job but yet not have registered for articles...shall i register my self for article and will my experience would be considered as article training... without passing ipcc please suggest briefly....and can anyone give me suggestion for preparing myself for november exam i hadn't joined classes and again won't..
