query regarding articleship

Have any provisions regarding transfer, your period has been completed as 3.5 years  but  due to excess leave you have to serve  period say  3 months then there is a mandatory to serve the excess period under existing employer or  you can go any where for articleship because your contract for 3.5 years have terminated.
