Query regarding Appointment of Auditors

Suppose after appointment of an auditor, he becomes subject to one of the disqualifications listed under sec. 226 (3) of the Companies Act 1956, then he would have to vacate his position as auditor of the company. My question is, will the re-appointment of auditor to fill this vacancy be treated as appointment by casual vacancy? If not, how will it be treated?
