30 June 2011I want to know , how to online file of Profession Tax on mahavat site for monthly return.
i am tring to entered dat on Form IIIB but one error always occured that is "periodicity is monthly. No of employees entered under Incorrect month"
e.g. I entered period from 1-05-11 to 31-5-11& all PT details entered in under column May but always occured same error . plz suggest

Sir I am talking about Month Errors not the Date format & if date format is eneterd wrong so it display after enter button but this error ocurred after validation

the month error which displayed in your return filing appears only the date format is wrong, or mismatch with the accepting terminal.

Dear All,
Even I am getting the same error of "periodicity is monthly. No of employees entered under Incorrect month"
when I tried to enter data on Form IIIB for filing Professional Tax Return of Maharashtra.
Can anybody tell as how that error could be rectified?

@ uma mam as i am uploading the companys profession tax west bengal i am getting this error message :-
amount in challan & no. in employee files mismatch, check xml files
i have checked it several times my total amount in both the challan & employee is the same... then why this error message still coming as the last date is 30.04.2012 for efiling

The total amount in Challan and the taxable amount in Employee file should match. On top of that if you making payment quarterly, or not every month, then in Challan file you will still have to enter all the months for which you were supposed to make payment and refer the appropriate challan no. The software tries to calculate the amount payabale with amount paid on month to month basis. The error message is not descripttive enough and it took me more than 4 hours to figure out.

Anual Return of PTRC for the year 2012-13, the Professional Tax "Form III B" downloaded from the Professional tax site Version is 1.5.0 and while uploading the rem file the error massage comes that " the version is wrong " they require 1.0.1 vesion of form IIIB. This vesion(1.0.1) is not found for downloading.

depends on the assesee catagory,
if they are below 30000/- payment anual then it would be no matter, as one month would reflect double payment and allow you to adjust the same, though at the time of filing its advised to catagorize in right month
but if the gross profession tax deducted and paid is more than 30000 per annum, then the assesee has to write to Profession tax officer with challan copy to make the change / amendment of challn paid in their system and acknowledge the same on challan with their signature and stamp
