The company has to mention the name of its holding company in Form 23AC. Now my query is if there is a company C whose more than 50% share capital is held by company B and Company A holds more than 50% share capital of B.
While filing the form 23AC of company C, which company should be mentioned as holding company B or A.
According to me its Company B name has to be mentioned. Because Company A is not having direct shareholding in Company C. It is definitly a holding company. But in prima facie Company B is having direct shareholding of more than 50% in company C.
If I am wrong please rectify

If company B hold more than 50% share capital of Company C, then company B will be treated as Holding Company of Company C and deatils of Company B is required to be given in form 23AC.
