Query for vat registration

Im (sole proprietor) planning to sell in online market like amazon... Can VAT registration be done with current a/c opened in my personal name (Taranjit Singh) and not in my firm name (xyz and co.) coz neither i have yet purchased items to be sold and not decided my shop name. coz everything is going to be online so i dont need any shop name. Im from gujarat. so can it be done with current account with my individual name?
