I didnt understand ur questio...
would have elped u in a better way had u explained it in a better way.
But from whatever I understood, I would suggest the following solution.
first, try this in a copy & not in the original.
If u ahve a file having no.s like1234 in one column/row & 34 in another......the file contains (most of the rows or columns)only numerical data, then its applicable.
First sort out all the nos in ascending or descending order.

hi use exact command for knowing for same numbers in excel sheet. you can use filter command also. but write query clearly

Hi .Thank you both. Please let me rephrase my query clearly:
I have an excel sheet. One of the coloumns in the excel sheet has accounting code numbers which has been manually entered. Some of the cells in the coloumns are blank. I would like to know how to check that all the accounting codes entered are unique and that the person entering the accounting codes has not entered some numbers more than once in a particular coloumn.
