Query about how to prepare allied laws

552 views 8 replies

I ann scheduled to take ca final in nov13 and I haven't done allied laws even once.

I did corporate by munish bhandari but, on comparison with the module, it seems that this book doesn't adequately cover allied portion of the syllabus

As apparent, I am running short on time,  what is the suggested course of action for me with regards to law.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Dear Aanchal,

You can read the Munish Bhandari handbook and supplement it with the Practice Manual…

I know managing the time will be a bit difficult, but then you need to put in efforts and complete it…

You can pick and choose the topics and then do them thouroughly, instead of trying to cover all and then ending up with completing nothing..

If you have any queries…please ask

If you have read the book you have done right ... now in remaining time fi for compiler..it will help you lot surely

In that case, could you please help me what my order of priority should be in topics to be covered thoroughly and the ones which are not as important..

Also, please mention the source for the topics by which my time can be maximized.

In my opinion, you can mainly concentrate on these chapters:

Interpretation of statutes, FEMA, SEBI (in that, the ICDR Guidelines), Securitisation, Banking Regulation Act, insurance Act.

I have completed the Company Law from Munish Bhandari.

But i noticed poor coverage of Allied Laws, when i compared bhandari to the module. Thus my query.

For example, there are only 12 headings in SEBI. and no mention of ICDR Guidelines you just pointed out as important.

SEBI ICDR is important...you can expect a 5 marks question in the exam...they have been asking so in thwe past...

yes...that you may have to take separately then...otherwise, handbook should be sufficient
