Whether a partnership firm can be a shareholder in a listed company. Please let me Know the relevant provisions and sections of the relevant acts.

I dont know the sec No but partnership firm cannot be the shareholder

As per the clarification issued by the Department of Company Affairs, vide CIRCULAR NO.4/72, DATED 9.3.1972, a firm, not being a person, cannot be registered as a member of company except where the company is licensed under section 25.

no partnership cant be shareholder of the company except sec 25 companies
