MY PROBLEM IS FROM GRATUITY ACT..
AS PER ACT GRATUTY SHALL BE PAY BY EMPLOYER WITHIN 30 DAYS ITS BECAME PAYBLE ...IN CASE THERE IS DEFAULT IN PAYMENT ...EMPLOYER IS REQ TO PAY INTT..
SO MY QUESTION IF GRATUITY IS PAID IN 50 DAYS ..THAN INTT SHALL BE PAID FOR 50 DAYS OR 20 days...
Dear Sir,
One of my collegue worked for one of central government autonomous organisation w.e.f. 23-05-1997 to 17 Jan 2007 on permanent pay roll. He is an ex-sdervicemen worked for indian navy for 15 years (i.e. 1977-1992) and drawing pension of central government. After leaving the above said service he could not get any gratuity the reason they said is he has resigned on personal grounds. Kindly let us know whether he is eligible for gratuity for the said period, if Yes" under which section he is eligible and if no what is the reason.
