What do you mean when one says funds raised through QIP route ? why companies are prefering this way to raise funds rather than going through IPO

Hi Vishal,
Qualified Institutional Placements are Private placement of shares to Institutional Investors.
Advantages:
1. Better Price
2. Not much legal compliance as against IPO
