How can we do punching entry in Tally - 9 in case of payment & receipt
say Like i want to enter following entry in payment mode F5
Legal & prof. fee A/c Dr. 5000
To Bank 4500
To TDS on prof. fee 500
means to say whether that can be possible vide single entry?
Dear Dipak,
The above entry is purely of payment as you are paying the Professional fees after deducting TDS.
The same entry is possible in Tally 9.

the transaction that you have mentioned can be posted in tally but not in single entry mode. you will have to disable the single entry mode . to do so. in payment voucher entry mode press f12 and say no to single entry mode. this shou;d resolve your problem.

yes....achal agarwal is right but it can be done in the single entry mode also. in payment voucher go to single entry mode...then in 'Account' select 'cash/bank'. then in 'particulars' select the 'legal and professional fee a/c' amount Rs. 5000 and 'TDS on professional fee a/c' amount Rs. (-)500. it will have the same impact as in the case of doub;le entry..
How do we permanantly disable Sigle entry mode
i have tried sevral times but after rebooting tally , it goes again on sigle entry system
and fr me single entry sys is not of kind any use
please guide for FIXEd single entry diavle feature
