Dear Sir,

Is there any exemption from the applicability of PF Act & Rules for establishments located in BACKWARD AREAS/ DISTRICTS?

There is no area basd exemption under any of the PF provisions -

a)Exemption from the Act (Including the Schemes), under Section – 16 (2) of the Act.

(b)Exemption from the operation of the Scheme/s viz. EPF Scheme / EPS Scheme / EDLI Scheme.
