dear friends please answer ,

*weather professional tax paid by individual can get relief while calculating income tax?

** even if the assessee not a tax payer?

Yes profesion tax is deductible on actual payment to the concerned local administration

Professional tax is having impactnal on your tax liability.IE its adjustable from the liability of Tax.

If the Professional Tax is paid by the Assessee, then, it can be deducted from the assessee's gross salary.On the other hand, if the Professional Tax is paid by the employer, then, such amount will first be included as a perquisite in the salary component of the assessee and then it will be shown as deduction from the assesse's gross salary.
