My husband is in transportation business. We provide our own t-permit vehicles on lease for schools, call centres or for outdoor trips. He is suppose to pay professional tax for the year 2008-09. urgently he has to send 1000/- paid challan copy to RTO. Please can anybody explain me the slabs? does he require to apply for PT no? from which site can i get PT challan?
deduction shall be allowed for professional tax u/s 16(iii) if person is an employee
and if personal has business, then he can debit the amount so paid in P&L
and if employer paid Prof. tax on behalf of the employee, it will first add to the gross salary then deduction is allowed
