can i register myself in west bengal professional tax as am salaried person?

For salaried person, no need of separate registration required under PT if employer is already registered.
if a person is engage in any profession like doctors,tax consultants,tution teachers or labourers then they can register in professional tax?
my wife is in private teaching profession and am in tax consultant profession so,can we register ourselves in wb professional tax?
whats the slab rates of wb professional tax?
