Hello, I want to know professional tax collected by employer on which basis? i.e.on basic salary or actual payment of salary ( actual payment means deduction due to leave) For Example: my salary is 12000 pm then profession tax is 200pm. due to leave for a week during month i got only 8000 then what is profession tax? 200 or 150

It remains same as 200, at flat rate as prescribed over basic scale.
