can anyone tell me when is professional tax applicable?
Means, when an employer is supposed to deduct the PT?
like, minimum number of employees and ect.

Professional Tax is payable even if there is only ONE employee drawing a salary of Rs.5000 or more.
The employer should deduct at the time of making payment

Due dates and laws for Professional Tax varies from state to state.... So please quote state name.....

Every person who is paying salary more then Rs 5000/- per month to a one/more then one person(separately), then he is eligible to deduct PT.....
