One of my client is a practicing Doctor and receiving professional charges., say 30 lakhs & he is receiving Rental income from Commercial Building say 12 lakhs both including 42 lakhs...
Whether he needs to get Gst Registration or what...?

Yes, you need to get GST registration.
Threshold for GST registration for service providers is 20 Lakh rupees and in your case doctor itself is receiving 30 Lakh as professional fees, which is above threshold and he needs to mandatory obtain GST registration.
Also he needs to pay GST on both professional fees as well as rental income.

Health care services are exempt from Gst right., if he gets registered under Gst he needs to pay GST only on the Rental income received from Commercial building right..!!

Yes he needs to get registered, need to pay gst on rental income but on the same time will show professional income as exempt income in 3B.
