Is it necessary to file Profession Tax NIL return ( PTRC ) ?
Is it possible to file the same electronically at MAHAVAT site ?
late fee of 1000 is also applicable on the same ?
please clarify as no clear guidelines are available on the issue

Yes, it is mandatory to file NIL PTRC return. Otherwise how dept will come to know about the PTRC liability.
NIL PTRC return can be very well e-filed on MVAT site.
As far as penalty is concerned, it will be as per rules.

Dear Bhanushali,
We have formed partnership firm on 23 August 2016. Our company have zero employees. So,is it necessary to register firm under PTRC even though number of employees is zero??? If yes then what is the due date for registration of PTRC. As we haven't registered yet for professional tax,do we have to pay late fees???
Also is it mandatory to register firm under ptec???
