Profession tax

Hi all,

i have a doubt about Profession tax payment in karnataka state. if a person is an active partner in a partnership firm, and had paid Profession tax there. and the same person is sole proprietor  in  a sole proprietorship, whether again he has to pay profession tax for sole proprietorship or he can avail exemption, please help.
