what is the procedure to return back material which we purchased earlier with excise and sales tax?

if you invoiced before 01- 07-2017. you have to raised invoice as per previous law. if you raised invoice after 30-06-2017, you have to raised invoice as per GST rules. don't raised debit note for such transaction.
