A director resigned from a company in the year 2013 and presently he is not holding any position or director with any company.
Kindly guide the procedure for cancelling DIN.

DIN can not be surrendered if it has been used, even if director is not associated with any company or LLP presently.. If DIR-3 KYC is not filed by the end of this month such DIN will be ceased automatically and can be revived only on payment of Rs. 5000 as penalty
