Dear Vinod,

Who should apply for DIN?

- Any person who is a director of a company or any who one intends/proposed to be a director of company in future needs to apply for DIN

- As per the recent amendment in the Companies Act ,1956 ,DIN has become mandatory for all the directors

- DIN is individual specific and not company specific, so only one DIN is required per director/person

Fees for applying DIN :

There is no fees for the purpose of applying DIN.

Documents required for applying DIN:

1. Identity Proof (Any one of the following)

PAN Card / Driving License / Passport / Voter Id Card

2. Residence Proof (Any one of the following)

Driving License / Passport / Voter Id Card / Telephone Bill / Ration Card / Electricity Bill / Bank Statement /

3. Colored Photo Graph

Following persons can attest the annexure required with the DIN application:

a) Gazzetted officer

b) Notary

c) Practicing CS/CS/ICWA

d) Company Secretary in employment

Hi Vinod,

To apply for DIN

1) Download Form DIN 1 help from MCA Website.

2)You need a copy of the PAN Card (verified) and a copy of any address proof(passpor, dl, ration card etc.) and a photograph in jpg Format.

3) Fill the form attach the requisite details. Affix the photograph.

4) Attach the DIN Verification(READ din 1 help) form after filling it and getting it certified from a registered practitioner (CA/CS)

5)Get the form Certified by a registered practitioner(CA/CS/CWA)

6)Upload the Form from a valid MCA a/c

7) You will immediately get a DIN No.

>Every individual, intending to be appointed as director of a company shall make an application for allotment of DIN to the Central Government in the prescribed DIN Form

>Before submission of e-Form 1A all directors of the proposed the company must ensure that they are having DIN and if they are not having DIN, it should be first obtained.

>Once DIN obtained shall act as the director for all the companies in which he is a director or intended to be a director.

>For applying DIN, We required address and ID proofs of the applicants.

>Fill the DIN application and pay application fee is Rs. 100/-

>Address and ID proofs of applicants should be attstation by practice in CS or practice in CA

>We will get a provisional DIN

>Submit the application to Noida

>It should be approved in 3 working days and after approval, it will be the permanent DIN
