Problem with e-filing portal

1. It is not totally glitch free.

2. You just need to add account, no need to validate all the accounts.

Some banks have manual validation process. While some banks like Post office accounts are not validated at all!!!

I was trying today to add a bank account, where I have sizable investments and the bank has deducted TDS reflected in 26AS, in addition to the list of added accounts which are all validated automatically.

After  filling up all required fields for this account, I submitted for validation. At first the portal showed that 'validation is in progress'. It remained in that state for few hours after which it appeared in failed bank account list with the following remarks as reason of failure for validation:

env:Client 

I don't understand what it means.

Can you please clarify so that I can take it up with the concerned bank if it relates to my account and my profile there.

This is not a new account and I was showing it for many years while e-filing ITR. I do not know why it did not appear in the new portal automatically like some others. That is why I was trying to add it anew.

Well, try to add the account, but do not validate immediately.

After some time try to login from Net banking, it will get validated automatically.

Thank you very much for your tips. I followed your advise and the two accounts with which I had problem adding to bank accounts list for the last one month got added and validated instantly.
