23 September 2011I am trying to upload the income tax return xml file but getting stuck here. It's throwing this message. What could be the cause?

Your brower is not supporting the exchange of data. Try using some other brower. I had the same problem in firefox. It worked under internet explorer.

It is recommended to use Internet Explorer 6 and above for filing e returns.

its obvious that you are trying with the browser with which u have filed returns earlier too....
Fill a new form and then try m sure there may be some validations problem in the form with which you have created this xml..

try using other browser .. or regenerate new xml file
