Here i want to ask that as Printing on the paper is liable for vat or service tax..
one of my client has Printig business he is providing the printing related service
1. printing on different paper
2. printing on PVC
3. printing and making photo albums
4. ID card
can anyone please tel me is it liable for vat or service tax

If material and labour both provided from party then service tax and Vat both will be applicable.. VAT on material and Service Tax on labour part..
or if they are doing labour work only, service tax will be applicable.
Service Tax @ 12.36 is applicable and VAT not applicable in this case.
