Preparation for ipcc

Hey guys,

I am going to write my IPCC this November.I have started preparing but there are too many books alongwith the institute books and this makes me get stuck with preaparing for one topic alone for a long time.

My question is will the study material and practice manual alongwith RTPs & MTPs be sufficient for exam preparation.

Please help?!

Institute's study material and practice manual are perfectly sufficient for preparation. In the two months before your exams, refer MTPs, RTPs and previous year question papers (as far as possible). This will be more than sufficient for you to attempt the whole papers during your exam.

In case you get stuck while reading a topic from study material, you can use a 'reference book' to 'refer'. I wouldnt recommend studying from the reference books in entirety. And never ever refer the same topics from more than two books. You will definitely get confused.

I suggest paduka referencer handbooks for Costing, accounting and advanced accounting as it covers concept and all practical sums covered in practice manual. Best book for Effective interpretations of solving problems.

i must suggest to put institute's provided material at the top of your priority while starting preparation for this exams 1. you must do all illustrations listed in study material 2. then solve all questions of practice manual 3. then you can(optional) do more questions from the reference material you have 4. at the last do rtp's remember one thing , no question in your exam comes out of your illustration(of institutes study material) , practice manual , rtp's you can also check previous attempts paper of accounts and remaining subjects that not even a single question was out of the institute's material so i would again strongly suggest you if you want to score good marks then you must have prepared all the questions of institute's material thoroughly

You must have a master strategy for clearing ipcc.First thing comes the "resources"

You cannot depend on ICAI SM(Study Material) for each and every subjects.Here is what i prefer.

1.Accounts-ICAI SM and PM(Practice manual)

2.Law-Vijay Raja Authored book. get it at https://www.amazon.in/Business-Laws-Ethics-And-Communication/dp/9795368788

3.Cost FM-ICAI SM and PM(PM is must)

4.Taxation-ICAI SM and PM(as indirect tax syllabus is fresh many question in EXAMS are coming directly coming from PM as far as i have noticed)

5.Adv Accounts-ICAI SM and PM(PM must)

6.Auditing-I would personaly say NO to ICAI SM.Refer any good scanners at https://www.flipkart.com/auditing-assurance-ca-intermediate-ipc/p/itmeyv2cbygjuhy6 and be good at companies act.Rest of auditing is General(Vouching,Special audit stuff) and even in Q#2 of EXAM some 10 q are like bonus.One can score easily in True or false)

7.IT-Sm

IT-ICAI SM and PM
SM-ICAI SM and PM
One need to see the past questions from this paper and prepare SMARTLY

NOTE: I also Personaly prefer ACCOUNTING STANDARD MADE EASY authored by CA Ravikanth sir. It includes both G1 and G2 AS.Simple explaination with "Concept capsules"

Thank you all for your replies, I am more confident with my preparation strategy now... However I'm still worried about direct tax as the questions asked in exams are twisted... Can anyone suggest how I should prepare for tax?

Do follow Dr.Girish Ahuja's book,coz i gave my may attempt 4 both d group.and wat i found is approx 75% question patterns belong to study material. in addition 2 dat,d upquoted book z more den sufficient for securing healthy marks in taxation wd layman concept.
