Dear Sir/Madam,

Does anyone have nay idea how long does it take to get the bank account pre-validated from the Income Tax efiling portal?

I have account with Union Bank and I submitted my request yesterday, it still shows pending.

Contacting union bank cust care says contact branch, when I contact branch they say write to ebanking and in the end no one is responding.

also what should be the next step if the pre-validation fails?

There's no clarity on this topic neighter from bank nor from income tax department!

Either you wait 2 or 3 Days its show pending or Rejected then you update your KYC and then try. and please check Account no. Name. Link with aadhar to your bank Account and PAN NO.

It takes long time sometime, in PSU bank, even in my case BOI account prevalidated in 1 month approx. It happen with me 4 account, but in private bank it is prevalidated within a week.

I notice that some requests made way back in Nov-2020 are still showing In Validation under my login. They neighter failed nor processed and hence I can not place a new request.

This procedure appears flawed and there's no clear timeline. Tried contacting IT helpdesk CPC but I was caller # 130 in the queue and after 30 minutes the call disconnected. I tried to register for call back but it said your mobile number is not registered (even though it is in the portal).

Does anyone have any idea if HDFC bank online banking has option to login to e-filing to pre-validate the account instantly and can return be e-verified thru HDFC bank internet banking?

I will open an account with HDFC and try for a fresh validation.

Name in Pan and Bank account must match. Link your bank account with Pan and Aadhaar.

Account should get pre-validated and EVC enabled immediately if Name, Phone number & email matches with Pan, If not request will be rejected after 72 hours and then you can try again.
