Whether TDS needs to be deducted if amount is paid to pujari for pooja?

If this pooja expenses are not related to any business then TDS will not be applicable.

TDS would be applicable on payment to pujari on monthly basis. Under section 194C, tax is required to be deducted on any payment in pursuance of a contract for carrying out any work.
