dear this issue has been answered so many times by so many experts before too
as per my advise if u are going to do self study
please buy snow white publications's MP VIJAY KUMAR for financial reporting and for accounting standards both( alternatively u can opt for ds rawat for as but it is advisable to take same author's book for both)
best part of the book is all the concepts has been discussed at one plce in steps and then all the questions are solved at one place
so no difficulty for any self study student
both books will be available in delhi for a price around 800

Hi MPV's book on financial reporting for new course costs Rs.595/-.
Thats the MRP. No discount i got.
