hi friends plz.......help me
i am an IPCC student and I will appear for exam in MAY 2010. What I should choose i.e.whether i should go for classes or self study. Can I complete my course by self study?
There are still around 9 months to go. TIme is sufficient enough. If you fell difficulty in any subject u can attend classes or u can do by self study...for self study, select a good author's book and supplement it with scanners and compilations and use them to plan your preprations...Good luck
u can go 4classes u've sufficnt tym 4ur exm. i'll advice u 2go 2classes not because u can't study frm bks, bt bcoz u wont have an idea wat type of questions r askd n exm, hw 2find imp. info 2solve those questions and ur presentation skills. everyone studies and is intelligent bt wat counts n our ca exm is smartness 2write d paper, 2learn such exm skills its better if u go 4 classes.

In ca course the most important thing is
self-confidence
So, Anyone with self-confidence should be able to pass the exams with/without coaching provided you work hard.
you can definately pass CA exams with self-confidence.
just have confidence in yourself.
Scanners are a set of questions asked in past CA exams..It ll help u to identify the relative importance of each chapter in exam and plan ur prepration. There are alot of areas in a chapter out of which only a particular area may be of importance when it comes to exam and others of little importance.U can change ur prepration techniques when u know the type of questions asked in exams and the area which is to be focussed when it comes to exam

1.To have an idea on what type of questions are asked in the exam, You can refer the scanners or compilations to get ans idea on those. They ll also help to analyse the relative importance of a paper in exam.
2.Regarding Info to solve questions, certainly a good author's book ll guide u through this..For eg.Padhukas in which the questions are solved in a step wise method describing the logics in each step.
3.Regarding presentation skills, you can refer the solved scanner or compilations or suggested answers. It ll give an idea of what the examiner expects from us.
4.As regarding Smartness to write the paper, I dont think coaching ll help us into it. I have seen many persons who after a particular tough paper decide that they ll fail and ll attend other papers just for granted despite the fact they hae prepared well for it.So, it depends on ourself.Just because we found 1 paper tough, it is not wise for us to evaluate our results and take the other papers for granted. Each paper is an unique chance .i.e, even if u score 40 in one paper and 65 in another, u have a good chance of clearing the paper. So once u finish a paper, forget what u have done and concentrate on other papers.
Definitely, I am not against coaching or any stuff but when it comes to CA, it is BASICALLY A SELF LEARNING COURSE.So coaching helps to an extent and not completely in passing the exam. What is needed is confidence , discipline when it comes to studies and smartness when it comes to presenting in exams....Good Luck
To inspire u ll, let me post he marks of ALL India 50th rank holder in November 08 CA Final exams. He got only 40 in MICS but his marks in other subjects not only made him to pass but also score a rank...The thing is even if u did a paper below satisfactory level, it is wiser not to think about it and do bad in other papers.Every paper ll help u to pass the exam in its own way

First Point: Have confidence on yourself and get ready for hard work.
Second Point: Considere subject as u want to give advise to other as a professional
Third Point: First prepare from compilance or suggested answers of past years. For accounts and cost accounts uderstand the basic concepts and do pratice of sums from compilation.
Fourth Point: Do revision on daily basis. For theory papers try to prepare around 40-60 answers from suggested.
Fivith Point: Finally dont think that you will fail as u have not attended any coaching classes.
Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Hey Jay..
If you have self confidence then u choose self study..but u have to work hard and you have lot off time for compliting all subject.
In Information Technology u only go through study material of institute but first u prepare summary [only points and peta points]..
go ahead and face any depression then just post scarp..
