income from house property- (96566)
Interest on bank fd- 21044/-
STCG on sale of house property- 120000/-
while making of xml file it not catching loss figure from house property. House property loss cant adjust against any ahead of above income. Kindly advise me.

loss on house property can be adjusted from any head of income. if in utility it is not setting off, there will be some mistake in feeding. check it again and it will definitely be adjusted.

yes loss from house property can be set off against any other head of income..ITR utility may hv some prob..download agn nd fill in

Chetan,
Please update us if the ITR utility is making the adjustments. I also had a similar problem in ITR4. For the sake of filing ITR I reduced the salary figure by HP loss and kept a note in the file for explaining at scrutiny level of assessment.
