Please Tell me about RG 1 & RG23, other Excise related books,What is the purpose of this registers & Books ,And What is the use of this records?

These are all old registers no more in existence RG23 -Now it is termed as Cenvat Register ( inputs and capital goods ) It is basically both accounting of Raw material and capital goods receipt and its consumption in the manufacture of dutiable goods RG1 is now known as DSA - Daily stock account to maintain stock of finished goods and its consumption
