Hai Vidya, I can surly say that Institute Material is enough for cracking CPT Examination.First you go through thouroughly our institute material .After that you will practise model question paper which is given by our institute. All the best for your Examination

Aravind, thank you for taking all the time to reply, but it did not serve the purpose.
I am pretty sure that books provided by the ICAI would be good enough to pass. But i believe to do more than "pass" i will need more reference books, especially when i do not come from commerce background.
I would greatly appreciate any timely guidance from the forum members.

Hello Vidya,
I agree with Aravind that you should study from study modules. I got a rank in CA exams reading study modules only....
However, if you feel that you need external books too, then refer:

You can find list of best CA cpt books here.
I strongly recommend everyone to read some refernce books as institute's study material is not enough and have less practice question.

Padhuka's Books are good with precise and short notes and lot of MCQ's for each unit..
