Dear Alex,
As you dont have accountancy background, you must acquired basic knowledge of Accounts before reading Study material..
Do Ensure u have knowledge of accounts(Basic) after that Study material is best plus Scanner after finishing study material thouroghly...

For accounts, economics and maths; you can refer 11th and 12th standard books to make base and understand concepts. law,economics and accounting modules are itself designed for basic self study. And finally all that matters is practice or revision only.

S.CHAND GRP PUBLICATIONS ARE EXTREMELY USEFUL FOR GETTING A HIGH SCORE IN CPT.EXPECIALLY ACS AND LAW ARE VERY HELPFUL.

Alex icai provides best study material,but you should also try P C Tulsian's "Fundamentals of accounting" of mc graw hill publication.I would like to suggest you suchita prakashan's solved scanner writtan by CA Amar Omar and CA Rasika Goenka. For exam I think its best book for learners and For Apptitude RS Aggrawal books is good |
