In laxminagar lots of hostels are their ranging rs.1500 onwards.
If you want to study then don't go for hostel,take a room on rent with one or two friends,it might be costly than hostel but it is the best option to study.
If you donot have any mate to share a room then either seek for a cheap room(dealers will help you out in this regard by taking half month rent as commision)or go for a hostel if you are sure about it.Hostels like Aashiyana are having good evironment to study at cheap rate.Shakarpur also had good accomodation options.
