What's the difference between Escaped income and concealed income?

Dear URMILA,

1) Escaped Income in reference to assessment u/s 147 means the Income which didn't come to the notice of AO (whether due to the wilful act of assesse or not) at the time of earlier assessments..

In short it means that Income which was not subjected to tax earlier but on which tax should have been levid..It can also be because of NEGLIGENCE of AO..

2) Concealed Income :- Basically which ASSESSEE has concealed by his wilful act...

Hi urmila,.... I hope u know the difference between FRAUD & ERROR....

The same follows for escaped and concealed income... I think AMIR'S explaination is more than enough to give any further notifications....

As U Although Not Mentioned Here That in The Escaped & Concealed, Which is Error & Which is Fraud.

I've pointed amir's answer wid mine and also mentioned that there's no need to give any further explaination... dont u see that??? and thats why i didnt explained it...

Moreover, and even a small child connects amir's answer wid mine, he'll get that escaped is error and concealed is fault....
