For claiming Uniform allowance bill of purchase of uniform is mandatory to produce or it can be claim on the basis of self declaration?
I need its solution from the point of view of employee.

- query is not clear, it depends on the employer / payee, what norms they hv set for payout for allownces,
- for incometax purpose its part of wages and to be treated accordingly

I think If IT Officers demend, then we need to produce Purchase bill for the same
in that case its mandatory to maintain all purchase bills

It is sufficient if employer is showing it under the item Allowances Exempt U/s 10 in Form 16.
Employee need not to worry much about such small items as the Department is generally relying upon the certificates issued by the employer.
